A neighborhood revisited. Happy 2011!

For the first post of the new year, I decided to do a revisit while on my way home from work. One of my favorite neighborhoods for neon signage: Clintonville. This minitour covers specifically the northern part of the area, also known (partially) as Beechwold. A few newbies and missing links comprise this first post of 2011. Hope everyone had a great holiday season!
All pics taken the evening of Sun. 1/2.

Ok, the wicked cool butterfly is at the Art Pad gallery on N. High. The Qdoba Mexican restaurant is just north. The Pierce Cleaners is one of the top ten signs in the city that dates to the classic era of neon (1960s). I have shot it before, but not at night and never the whole sign. The Pork City sign is north of Pierce Cleaners. oink! The Tower Centre is a small strip center on the east side of N. High almost directly across from the Iron Pig.

Hoping that 2011 is a good year for neoning! Lots of missing links, and some new neighborhoods, and definitely some road trips this year! Enjoy!
